PETER DUNN… Will be 74 on the 10th of April. Dunny tells me as well as his two girl friends who work at Winston’s he also has 3 wives, one lives in Rumania, one in Russia and the other on lives in Cyprus. No wonder he’s cuckoo.

JACK FIRN… Will be 84 on 13th of this month. He signed professional forms for Hunslet on the 6th December 1956 making his 1st team debut on the 30th March 1957 against Huddersfield at Fartown. Its pleasing to hear that Jack is making a little progress after his recent illness. We hope to see him at this years reunion were I will be able to present him with his frame for his Heritage Certificate.

GEOFFREY ‘Jock’ STEWART…Will be 75 on the 16th of this month. A product of the Hunslet Intermediate side relinquishing his amateur status on 13th November 1964. His first A-team game was against Dewsbury at Parkside in 1963 going on to make his first team debut against Leeds at Headingley in the Lazenby Cup on the 16th August 1965.

The Honourable ALAN SIMPSON… Alan is an honorary member of our association. Also our secretary for the association. He was a director of the club when we played at Parkside. He is a retired judge and also a past Chairman of the British Boxing Board of Control. His date of birth 17/04/1937 making him 83 years of age. Alan does an absolutely great job has our secretary. ‘I dare not say any thing else about Alan because its bad enough been on lockdown, never mind doing jail time.

BRIAN LAWRENCE GABBITAS… A true Hunslet legend. Born in Leeds on the 24/4/1935. Signed for Hunslet on the 19/02/1952 made his 1st team debut against Hull F.C. at Parkside on the 26/12/1952. In total he made 352 first team appearance’s for Hunslet. Brian was the joint winner of the Lance Todd Trophy along with Ray Ashby (Wigan) in the 1965 Challenge Cup Final. His Honours were:- England Junior International, British Army, Yorkshire and Great Britain. If I’ve got my maths correct Brian will be 85 tis month.

ERNEST ANTHONY LUNDY… The eldest member of our great association. Ernest made his debut for Hunslet just before the Domesday Book was wrote. I under stand you could play crown green bowls a bit Ernie. I await your reply. A very HAPPY 93rd birthday young man and have a great day. Ernest was born on the 27th April 1927.
