Dennis Tate.
Born 22nd February 1935.

Signed professional
forms for Hunslet RLFC on the19th May 1953 for a fee of £250.00 making his 1st
team debut at Parkside against Widnes in August 1954.

Dennis
played a total of 119 –1st games scoring a 31 tries and kicking 3
goals.

On the 31st
January 1962 he was transferred to Bradford Northern with Hunslet receiving £1750.00.

DAVID MAWSON
BORN ON 23rd FEBRUARY 1954

Today Dave
is 65 years old and now officially an
OAP. (How time fly’s)

David
attended Belle Isle School and learned his rugby under the guidance of his
school teacher Bill Cramm.

Dav has he
is affectionately known represented Hunslet R.L. School Boys. He then took the familiar
path down to Parkside and went on to play for Hunslet RLFC the Under 17s and
19s sides.

He made his
first team debut in 1972 against Leeds RLC at Headingly in the Lazenby Cup.

Sadly a
severe knee injury cut short Dav’s playing career but that didn’t end his love
for rugby league. He gained his RL coaching badges and went on to have a very successful
career in coaching.

Dav still as
a major involvement in the game he is the chairman of the Hunslet Warriors
ARLFC and is also an active committee member of the Hunslet RL ex Parkside Players
Association.

Cheer up Dav it’s not that bad you can collect your pension money next Friday.
