Hunslet had a home draw against Batley.

Both teams were at full strength and a crowd of 4961 turn out to watch the game, In the first half Fred Ward injured his back and was replaced by Billy Baldwinson

The half time score was level at 2 – 2 Billy Langton kicking a penalty for Hunslet and Peter Fox managing to put one over the sticks after three previous attempt’s.

In the second half Hunslet opened up with try’s by Barry Lee, Ken Eyre 2, Billy Langton, Geoff Gunney and Geoff Shelton. Langton kicking two more goals.

Final score Hunslet 24 – Batley 4.
