With sadness I need to inform you that Ronnie Colin the ex Hunslet South African winger passed away this week at the age of 83.

Ronnie signed for Hunslet RLFC from the South African Rugby Union side. Cape Town in 1957.

He made his Hunslet debut in 1957 at Parkside against Bradford Northern.

Ronnie played in the 1959 Championship final at Odsal against St. Helens which is still classed as one of the best ever finals to be played. Unfortunately Hunslet lost 44 – 22

In total he made 94 appearance’s with Hunslet scoring a total of 61 tries and 1 goal.

He finished playing for Hunslet in 1960 and returned back to South Africa.

Our Deepest Sympathy goes to Ronnie’s wife Sybil and all his close family.
