It is with
great sadness that we learnt Cliff Williams the Hunslet ex Parkside
scrum half from the mid sixties has passed away after bravely
battling for many years with a deliberating illness.

The tough
Welsh half back played for the Newbridge RFU, Cross Keys RFU and
Newport RFU his outside half partner was Dave Watkins who went on to
play with Salford RLC. Cliff also represented the Monmouthshire RFU
side.

He turned
professional with Hunslet on the 27th of May 1966 he
played 118 times for the South Leeds Club scoring 14 tries and
kicking 2 goals

His
funeral service will be held at Lawnswood Chapel on Wednesday 12th
February at 10.20am following by interment in Winmoor Cemetery.

He leaves
a wife Coral, a son and two daughters.
