Yes Harry Wilsons NORTHERN RUGBY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP MEDAL from the all four cup winning season of 1907-8 was one of the Stars at the Evening with the Stars of of yesteryear of the Lazenby Cup which was held last Thursday the 23rd January, at the South Leeds Stadium in the Phenix Bar.

Harry was a member of Hunslet famous Pack Dubbed “The Terrible Six” this fine bunch of men were renouned for setting up the platform for Hunslets backs to mesmorise their opponents.

This medal has never left the sight of Harry’s grandson Harry Swan when his granfather bequethed it to him some 60 years ago- Harry had originally entrusted our very own ex Hunslet Parkside Player Gordon Tindale to bring the medal to the evening- but at the last minute decided to attend himself together with his son ex Leeds United and Hull City Footballer Peter Swan and Peters Best man Ian Johnson who was signed for Hunslet at the same time as Graham King-Ian was also a scrum half.

Hary Swan is seen here proudly dislaying his Grandads medal from 107 Years ago
