Excellent comment Peter, it could well be. We could probably get Kay Mellor to write the script. It could even be as popular as the original ‘This Sporting Life’ by Peter Storey. Ken Traill has gone, so has Richard Harris and Rachael Roberts, but we could surely get a few of our old stagers to take the lead roles, providing there were enough extras to do what they now find impossible. Could be handing out ‘Oscars’ at the next dinner as we sing We’ve swept the seas before boys’, although it would more likely be crutches. Nihil Sine Deo.
