Mrs Pat Benatmane other wise known as Miss Hunslet Hawks. who I have been told
was also a personal friend of Cleopatra, found a trophy in the garden shed at South Leeds stadium, before she weighs it in for scrap(only joking) can any one
shed any light of the origin of the trophy. The Name of the trophy is “Warnes- Hopkins Trophy”
It has three inscriptions JC WORTHINGTON 1936: L BROWN 1937: JA PLACE 1938.

I wonder if the JA Place inscription is the same Jacky Place who was a coach to the Hunslet supporters teams of the 1950’s -60s?
