As befitting for a such a wonderful person, the sun shone brightly for the hundreds who turned out to pay their respects to this well loved and highly respected man. In front of a packed St.Theresa’s Church in Crossgates Mgr. Philip Holroyd conducted a lovely celebrated Requiem Mass of Tommy’s Life.

The worshippers in the full church who had come along to show their last respects to Tommy sang along heartily with the joyous choir.

Michael Davy gave a most moving & hilarious Eulogy that I have ever heard.

Hunslet R.L. Ex Parkside Players who were their to show their support to Margaret and to Tommy’s children included Harry Jepson O.B.E., Alan Bancroft,

Peter Jarvis, Alan Simpson, Jimmy Crampton, Keith Rowson, George Clarke,

Phil Sanderson and Stuart Keane.

After the burial at Killingbeck Cemetery everyone was invited back for refreshments to Oulton Hall, Rothwell.

One thing is certain Tommy would have been very proud of the send off, his loving family had organised for him.

It was a privilege to be their and hear all the magnificent tributes for a man who’s quality’s of conducting his life can rarely be equalled, “but never beaten.”

May He Rest In Peace.
